Born and educated in Wellington, Mark has enjoyed practicing law for over 50 years after he obtained his law degree from Victoria University of Wellington. Prior to joining Maude & Miller he established Chiu & Cain Law, and was previously a partner for 24 years at another Wellington law firm.

Mark’s clients regard him as knowledgeable, pragmatic and personable. He is highly regarded for his vast experience on general family matters, in particular regarding property, wills, trusts and estates.

Mark is a Rotarian and past member of the inaugural Wellington College Board of Trustees. He holds or has held various directorships and positions on commercial boards, has close ties to the Chinese community, including as a member of the Wellington Chinese Baptist Church, and speaks Cantonese. He is a fervent Hurricanes, All Blacks and Black Caps supporter and enjoys spending time with his family and grandchildren.

Charitable Trusts – Andy has considerable experience in creating charitable trusts and societies for educational institutions, sports, and religious organisations and many more. He also prepares and updates the rules and constitutions of community organisations.
